A different look at unexplained infertility

Modern medicine is often very much symptom focused.

Shamanic culture takes a different approach.

Yes, we notice the symptoms but we recognize them as symptoms and look for the underlying cause.

One of my foundational principles of the Amazon Fertility Program is that "Fertility is a natural function of a healthy body".

So, when I encounter infertility (diagnosed or not - about one third of infertility is classified as unexplained infertility) I start with the assumption that there must be a weakness of imbalance in the body of one or both parents.

The solution - strengthen and rebalance the body.

The Amazon Fertility Program first seeks to restore good health ... fertility will follow.

Now you may say this is a little simplistic and it is.

Of course we also have herbal formulas to deal with specific infertility issues but strengthening and rebalancing the body is a priority irrespective of the presenting issues.

Imagine you are the manager of an automated factory that makes widgets.

One day you notice that the widgets coming off the assembly line only have three screws in them when they should have four.

As you interact with the artificial intelligence system that runs the factory you discover that there has been a problem with the delivery of screws and the AI system decided to ration screws so that production didn't have to stop due to the shortage of screws.

The AI system decided that three screws would still meet the safety parameters and so decided to produce the "imperfect" widgets rather than stop production.

This analogy gives us some insights into the functioning of the unconscious mind which runs our body.

Our unconscious mind is so resilient and resourceful that health issues are often masked for months or years until we notice some symptom that causes us to realize that something is not quite right.

In the factory example above it is easy to diagnose that a shortage of screws is the underlying issue.

When it comes to our health the issues are often much more complex but the basic principles still apply.

First make sure that there is adequate nutrition and see what the flow on effects are.

In Love and Gratitude,
Antonia Ruhl
