The mystery of Lifeforce
As a child all I ever wanted was to fit in.
I guess every child wants to fit in.
It wasn't until I was around five or six that I realized that I was different.
By default we all assume that others see and experience the world the same way we do.
Little Antonia discovered that she could see things that others could not.
First she discovered that she could see what others referred to as "ghosts".
Then later she discovered that others could not see all the swirling colors of energy that she experienced.
As part of her shamanic training she later gained a much deeper understanding of the nature of reality.
All spiritual traditions talk about the mysterious life force, though some do it much more openly than others.
In Christian tradition we often see paintings of saints depicting the brilliant lifeforce around their head.
In Chinese tradition the lifeforce is referred to as Chi. It is foundational to the Chinese medicine tradition. There are hundreds if not thousands of different Chi Kung methodologies (exercises to increase the Chi) and the purpose of the widely practiced Tai Chi exercises is to nurture and balance one's personal Chi.
These days many young people have forsaken the old ways and the old knowledge.
Most people practicing Tai Chi simply use it as a form of physical exercise.
Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and other ancient healing methodologies are often replaced with the modern supposedly scientific approach of Western medicine.
Western medicine has tried to measure Chi (Prana, Ki, etc) but has largely failed.
There was a time when the "seers" were accused of witchcraft or even devil worship.
How else could they possibly accomplished what most people could not?
These days we live in much more enlightened times, or are we?
The majority of people have decided to follow what they believe to be the scientific path, all the while blinding themselves to their own ignorance.
They choose to ignore the findings of Quantum Physics and any other scientific findings that cannot be explained by a purely materialistic worldview.
They are usually afraid of death for they do not understand what it truly is.
Life is magical and mysterious and should be celebrated in all its forms.
In Love and Gratitude,
Antonia Ruhl
